WELCOME TO ALL THINGS PURIM!

Purim is a joyful Jewish holiday that celebrates the salvation of the Jewish people from the wicked Haman, as recounted in the Book of Esther.

WHAT IS IT REALLY?
Purim is basically the Jewish version of a big party, where everyone gets dressed up in costumes (yes, even adults), eats way too many cookies, and celebrates the fact that we didn’t get wiped out by a bad guy named Haman. At the heart of it all is the Megillah—a super dramatic story about the Jewish people being saved, complete with twists, turns, and a very villainous villain. Join us this Thursday (3/13) for a FUN Purim Get Together with FREE PIZZA at 5:00PM with activities for your whole family followed by our Megillah Reading.

Now imagine a PURIM CARNIVAL where the games are just as fun as the costumes. Think spinning wheels, prizes, and maybe even a lot of bad dancing, but all in good fun. This is the youth program’s biggest event of the year, and we truly hope everyone can join us! Tickets are REQUIRED for the carnival.  ​​​​​​​OPEN to all ages and NON- MEMBERS!!! SEE LINK BELOW TO ORDER YOUR TICKETS. Once purchased, you can pick up your tickets at the registration table when you arrive. We’ll have: Carnival-style games, bounce houses, a video game truck concessions, a DJ, food trucks and TONS of fun!

And let’s not forget about MISHLOACH MANOT—Lights, camera, Purim! Treat your friends and family to a Movie Theater-Themed Mishloach Manot filled with all the classic cinema snacks. This star-studded basket features buttery popcorn, sweet candy favorites, drinks and other treats for the ultimate movie-night experience. Complete with a Hollywood-style touch, it’s a show-stopping way to spread Purim joy! It is meant to ensure that everyone has enough food for the Purim feast held later in the day, and to increase love and friendship among Jews and their neighbors. Mishloach Manot brings peace and harmony and shows the unity of a community. Sending a basket is a fantastic opportunity to let your family, friends, teachers, staff, and business associates know how much you appreciate them!

Let’s conclude PURIM with a special….MEAN SHPIELS – A Mean Girls-Themed Purim Shpiel… Get in—we’re saving the Jews on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 6:00PM! This Purim, we’re bringing you a totally fetch retelling of the Megillah with a Mean Girls twist! Queen Esther is stepping into the spotlight, Haman is, like, so not fetch, and Mordechai? He’s basically the ultimate wise mentor. Expect tons of laughs, singing and great fun! So grab your groggers and boo Haman like it’s an assembly on social survival!
