CKT has joined forces with other teen groups such as BBYO and NFTY. This partnership provides a stronger youth group experience, that brings about more programs, teens, and opportunities. As the engagement coordinator, I will be at every event to oversee and provide any support needed. Most events will be held during the normal time, Monday from 6:30-7:30 with additional programming on other nights of the week.
BBYO is a youth group that provides Jewish teen experiences for those in the community. In every city/area, BBYO has two chapters. BBG for girls and AZA for boys. These groups meet separately as well as have joint events. CKT 8th-12th grade are invited to come to these programs that will be announced biweekly/monthly. BBYO is currently holding programs outside in pods of 15 that are all masked and socially distanced.
Additionally, NFTY is offering free virtual social justice activities for grades 8th-12th. This year, KTTP is participating in:

REDI (Racial Equity, Diversity, Inclusion)– Students will learn basic Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practices, examine how our identities inform how we function in society, understand the importance of disrupting dominant culture, and learn how to make important changes on an interpersonal and communal level.

Action & Advocacy– Students will explore being a Jewish voice for justice, discover how their moral voice can influence policymakers, identify an issue around which they can advocate to make systemic change, and learn how to take action. TUESDAYS, 7:OOPM-8:00PM, 2/23, 3/2, 3,9
In November, we will be holding a canned goods drive for Our Father’s House Soup Kitchen.
