Kol Tikvah has a panel of four caterers to choose from for your affair. Each of the four panelists has a long history of providing excellent service. Out of the four panelists you will be able to find a caterer that fits the vision and budget of your affair. TooJay’s began with a single location on the island of Palm Beach in 1981. The brand was born out of the passion for creating the classic recipes and flavors of a New York deli serve with lots of love and amazing hospitality. Now, with almost 30 locations, our focus is still the same – serving hearty portions of homemade comfort foods, handcrafted sandwiches, and made-from-scratch soups, salads and baked goods. TooJay’s offers drop off to full service catering for any size group.
In choosing a caterer for your affair, please remember that the contract is between you and the caterer. While we have tried to “vet” the caterers through our knowledge of the community, by doing tastings and by speaking with references, the synagogue is not a party to your contract. Also, each affair and caterer-client relationship is different.
There are some differences when operating under a panel arrangement vs. an exclusive caterer. Going forward, if you wish to use the synagogue facilities for a personal event, rather than going to the caterer, you will make those arrangements with our Executive Director. There is a facilities rental agreement that you will complete to identify details about your event including what spaces you wish to use, the hours, and your vendors (including caterer). Some fees that you previously paid to the caterer (e.g., bathroom attendant and security) will now be paid directly to the synagogue. There are modest fees associated with the use of the facility, greatly discounted for members. Caterers should take that into consideration as they work with you. Families who have already contracted with and given a deposit to VIP for events in the future are not subject to the room fees. All future contracts are subject to the fees.
