Thursday, February 14, 2019 marks one year since our community was devastated by the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The Broward County School Board, City of Coral Springs, and City of Parkland will observe this as a Day of Service and Love.

Congregation Kol Tikvah will be hosting a day for ALL CKT teens (middle and high school), their parents and friends to drop in throughout the day to join us as we commemorate the one year anniversary and join in healing, acts of loving kindness, and prayer.

12:00PM – 1:00PM Gathering (teens will be provided with lunch)
1:00PM – 5:00PM Variety of activities:
-Therapy dogs
-Art therapy
-Yoga
-Meditation
-Sports
-Video games
-Cooking
-Making sandwich lunches for the homeless
-Parent space
-Teen hangout
-Group and individual conversations with mental health professionals

Throughout the day our clergy will be available for private conversations and pastoral sessions. Our sanctuary is open for those who would like to pray in a sacred space.

At 5:00PM we will conclude so that those who want to go to Pine Trails Park for the Interfaith Vigil can attend at 5:45 pm. Our CKT clergy are helping to lead the Vigil.
