Sydney Berlin, a dedicated figure in Jewish Education since 2008, holds a degree in Psychology as well as a concentration in Elementary Education. In 2010, she earned her Advanced Early Childhood Directors Credential. Since joining Congregation Kol Tikvah in 2016, she has been instrumental as the Early Childhood Director, guiding its educational vision. Sydney’s prior journey includes roles such as Early Childhood Director at Temple Beth Torah in Tamarac, FL and Director of Children and Families at the JCC in Virginia Beach, VA.
Sydney has been involved with Jewish Early Childhood Professionals of Broward County since 2010, serving on their Board since 2019. She is also a member of the Early Childhood Educators of Reform Judaism since 2016. Sydney’s commitment to Jewish education is underscored by her passion for early childhood education, recognizing its profound impact on shaping young minds within the context of Jewish values and traditions.
Making a difference in the lives of so many young children and their families brings Sydney great joy. She feels so fortunate to be able to do what she loves by sharing her passion for early childhood education with everyone within the Kol Tikvah family. From children to their parents, from teachers to administration; Sydney strives to make everyone feel like school is their home away from home, by offering a warm and loving environment and an enriching, high-quality academic program. Her goal is to lay the foundation for life-long learning that will transcend far beyond the preschool years.
