The philosophy behind JMW is to lower the barrier to entry and allow families to pay for those things in which they want to participate, rather than treating everyone as if one size fits all.

There are 3 Engagement pathways and you select which best fits your needs:
Pillar, Sustainer and Supporter.
All households pay an Engagement contribution, which includes access to:
• Clergy
• Shabbat & Festival Services
• Lifecycle Events such as bris/baby naming, weddings, funerals for shiva relatives (sibling, parent, child
or spouse)
• Chavurah Groups
• Voting rights for Congregation meetings

A La Carte – on top of the items above, you select the electives below that you want and just pay for those:
• Adult Education (Bagels & Bible, Talmud, speaker series, scholar in residence) – $370/adult
• High Holy Day Tickets – $90/adult in the household to attend in person. Children are free. Some
services will be available via livestream; there will be no charge for accessing those.
• ARZA (Association of Reform Zionists of America) & Israeli Programming – $60/household
• Brotherhood – $60/person
• Sisterhood – $75/person
• Business Networking Group (BNG) – $180/person
• Education & Youth Engagement (EYE) – amount dependent on grade level

Sustainer – includes all of the above, except BNG. EYE is at a discounted price.

Pillar
This level was established to cover costs of our congregational operations that are not covered by
annual engagement revenues, help us recover from drastically lower revenues this past year, as well help to make affiliation possible for those who are not able to pay the full engagement level or full EYE tuition. For those members who are blessed to be able to do so, we hope you will make this additional financial commitment. As a small token of our thanks for your generosity and leadership, you will be offered recognition in our e-newsletter and on a wall in the lobby of the sanctuary.

Discounts
Discounts are included for dual members (i.e., those who belong to another synagogue), Student/Under 30, current PJG ECC families, as well as former PJG ECC families whose graduate is in K through 2nd grade.

Gifts From the Heart
The switch to Judaism My Way last year drastically reduced the amount that the majority of households
contributed for membership. While the contribution levels are higher this year, and Security has been restored since we are back in the building with full activities, “giving from the heart” is a key component of our Congregation’s financial support structure. If our temple had to subsist on the Engagement and Elective fees alone, we would be unable to continue. We rely on the willingness of all in our congregation to give as they can to support Kol Tikvah’s long term financial viability. We kindly ask that, if you can, give from your heart for chesed to help another family enjoy the gift of Judaism.

Chesed
Finances should never be a barrier to CKT engagement or youth education. Chesed is our term for how we grant relief to families in financial need. If your family needs a helping hand, please reach out to Treasurer David Hirsch at finance@koltikvah.net.
