Our Social Action Committee sponsors a number of projects at Kol Tikvah that allows our members to be actively involved in Tikkun Olam.

Each month (usually on the last Monday), our Kol Tikvah families make PBJ sandwich lunches that are delivered to Our Father’s House Soup Kitchen and Hope South Florida to help feed the homeless.

At the beginning of the school year, we conduct collections of new and gently used shoes as well as backpacks for In Jacob’s Shoes, and school supplies for JAFCO.

We conduct an annual food drive at the High Holy Days. Kol Tikvah families and holiday guests donate over 4,000 pounds of non-perishable food items to the WECARE Pantry.

Our annual Mitzvah Day is held in the Spring.

Year round Social Action sponsors many collection projects to help Women in Distress, Lifenet4families, Hope South Florida, Our Father’s House Soup Kitchen, Jewish Federation of Broward County and Jewish Family Services. We encourage everyone to collect tzedakah to benefit local, state, national and international charities.
